The category initials is MD 1536 *, and I might put these in the assets, if that's okay. BUT, can you give us members that WEREN'T around during 2009 to the birth of this forums some screenshots? No offenseĮdit: I added a category for this custom GFX archive in the doc for game initials, if that's okay with you, Squishy. I like to see some of the OG custom S u p e r M a r i o B r o s. Once downloaded the Archive does NOT receive updates.īelow is a list of users who over the last 9 years have helped make this project a reality for everyone to enjoy. * Downloading the whole archive is generally not reccommended as doing so will only download the Archive in that moment and the overall filesize is massive, so please bear that in mind. Make sure each upload comes with creator credits. Place your uploads in the correct folders. Since around 2012, this has been my passion project, to save as much of SMBX's content as possible and continue this Archive, and now through some trial and error, boat loads of help from other members of the community (credits down below), I am happy to announce the brand new Assets Archive for SMBX! Attempts were made by both myself and others to move this massive project forward, however, they all penultimately failed due to a number of reasons. Now the last update to that particular pack was about 10 years ago and since then nothing has really developed any further. Older users will be very familiar with a Community GFX Pack developed by Red Yoshi and supermarioman, with a goal to collect and store all of SMBX's custom content (which at the time was 99% custom GFX) for other users as a sort of repository. Of course over that lengthy span many of these assets have been forgotten, misplaced or even lost to time, and this Assets Archive is here to help change that. Finally, I really hope you enjoy this, I know it's taken quite a few years to get to this point, despite technically also lacking content, but moving forward, I can now start focusing more on new imports again.Over the past several years the SMBX community has created customized content to be shared and used by thousands of other like-minded individuals. Updates can also happen in real-time now, but I will make notifications every so often for new additions. The older content that will be re-added will slowly be drip fed back in as the updating progresses, though you can read more below under Important Information.Īnything that has been seen on the Discord showcase channel will be added as well, so if you can't currently find it, it may not yet have been added. In terms of content, in comparison to v1.8, this update will seem lacking in some sections, and this is solely because everything I have previously imported now needs to be updated and/or streamlined. This new Pack has been created specifically for use in SMBX2, though people who use other versions of SMBX are still more than welcome to adapt these graphics to their needs. With the release of SMBX2 and many of the needed changes it has brought with it, continuing my GFX Pack the way it was would have been unfavourable for the future, hence the reason this has become a separate topic. Well this has been a long time in the making hasn't it? A lot has changed since the last time my GFX Pack received an update, the release of v1.8 was in December 2015, and it's hard to imagine that that was almost 10 years ago.
